A personal portfolio built to position Alessio Fontanelli as a rigorous industrial designer with a distinct visual language. Every project is presented as a complete system; kinematics, materials, identity — reflecting the same obsessive logic behind each physical object he designs.

Translating physical complexity into a digital experience that doesn't simplify.
Showing process, not just outcome
Industrial design portfolios often show only renders. The challenge was building a site that communicates the full depth of the work kinematics, material logic, assembly — without becoming a technical manual.
//01
A visual identity from scratch
"Pensieri Estrusivi" needed a mark that felt handmade but precise the logo and brand system were built to mirror the extrusion logic behind the physical work.
//02
Navigating 9+ projects coherently
With a wide range of industries — pharma, outdoor, lighting, medical the site needed a consistent visual framework that gave each project its own space without fragmenting the overall identity.
//03
Custom interactions on a budget
The custom cursor, scroll-triggered animations and video loops were built without heavy frameworks every interaction earned its place by adding meaning, not just motion.
//04

Dark, precise, object-first.
Object as hero
Every page is built around the physical object renders, videos and technical drawings take centre stage. The layout steps back so the work can step forward.
//01
Motion as documentation
Video loops aren't decorative — they show the mechanism working. Motion is used to explain what static renders can't: how the object moves, folds, and interacts with its user.
//02
Identity from the process
The brand — logo, typography, cursor is derived directly from the industrial design process itself. Extrusion, axes, geometric construction. The studio identity and the product identity are the same thing.
//03

A portfolio that reads like a design manifesto rigorous, precise, impossible to ignore.

Distinct visual identity built
"The form follows the function, but the soul follows the Heron. Minimalist, silent, and elegant." Alessio Fontanelli — Co-Founder & Product Director, Stache Studio
