Building a portfolio that sells the designer without overselling the person.
Designing the designer
Creating a visual identity for yourself is harder than for a client, no brief, no boundaries, full accountability. The challenge was building something that felt both personal and professional, without becoming self-indulgent.
//01
Strategy before aesthetics
The site needed to do more than look good, it needed to convert. Every section was structured to guide a potential client from curiosity to contact, following a clear narrative arc.
//02
Framer as a design tool
Using Framer not just as a builder but as a design environment, pushing interactions, animations and layout beyond templates to create something that felt truly custom.
//03
Standing out in a saturated market
Every designer has a portfolio. The real challenge was making this one impossible to ignore, not through noise, but through a clear point of view and a visual language strong enough to be recognizable at a glance.
//04

Editorial-led, motion-aware, brand-first.
Typography as identity
The typographic system does most of the heavy lifting, oversized headlines, intentional hierarchy, and a tone of voice that's direct without being cold.
//01
Minimal but not empty
Negative space is used deliberately. Each section breathes, giving the work room to speak instead of competing with the layout.
//02
Motion with purpose
Scroll animations and hover states aren't decoration, they guide attention and reward curiosity, making the experience feel alive without distracting from the content.
//03

A live portfolio that positions Matteo as a strategic creative, not just a executor.
